FASHION WEEK FAVES
Fashion Week First Timer
Who remembers their first time at New York Fashion Week? The first show I was invited to attend was at the Metropolitan Pavilion in September 2010. Boy Meets Girl, Caravan and Bobi were the three collections showcased that morning. The show opened up with a performance of “Animal” by Neon Trees, to which the audience sang along enthusiastically. From the moment the first look hit the runway, the energy in the room was amazing. After the show, I was mistaken for a celebrity by Bobi designer Kara Lusardi, and was told by Caravan‘s Claudine DeSola that I had great style. Fashion week is one of the most amazing experiences, and I look forward to it every season! xxSharona

RiRi and Fashion Dreams
Although Rihanna has proven herself to be multi-talented, apparently we haven’t seen everything she has to offer. After working on two capsule collections for Giorgio Armani, she certainly has fashion on her mind. Rihanna recently announced that she will be designing a clothing line for British fashion brand River Island, but that’s not all! She is Stella McCartney‘s newest muse, and there are rumors of a collaboration between them in the works. I can’t imagine that anything they create would be less than fabulous.

Kate Hudson in Nude
Kate Hudson looked flawless at the Venice Film Festival last night. (DON’T YOU AGREE?) Her nude embellished ensemble was an Atelier Versace gown. Kate looked sexy without baring it all. Her messy updo suited her simple look on the red carpet. Enjoy your Labor Day fashionista’s. Stay beautiful! xxMaya

Street Walkers-NYC
As soon as I get off the subway, I am always amazed with the fashion and style New York holds. However my last trip, I actually asked a few people if I could take a picture of their unique ensembles. At first I was intimidated to ask others but towards the end I got so comfortable to compliment their outfits. Here are a few street walker outfits I loved! Which one is your favorite? Stay beautiful!

50 Shades of Black and White
If you were a fan of Karl Lagerfeld‘s first line for Net-a-Porter, you will be happy to know his second line for the site drops tomorrow! It’s very similar to his first collection, and will include tailored jackets, fabulous heels and lots of leather items. With only a few colored pieces in sight, there will be a lot of timeless black and white items you can add to your closet!

Who wore it better? Maxi Skirts
Who wore it better? Engie Hassan was seen wearing this pleated maxi skirt from Zara as well as fashion blogger “Cakelake”. They both styled it to their occasion. Maxi skirts are one of the newest trends this season. They can be worn night and day as shown below. Who do you think wore it better?

NYFW Dropout
Fashion designer L’Wren Scott has officially pulled out of of September’s New York Fashion Week to buy herself more time to finish the collection. L’Wren’s Spring 2013 collection will debut in Paris instead, but her date is not yet confirmed. It seems she may have been inspired by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen‘s decision to do the same thing two years ago for their Spring collection of The Row.
These girls know what it means to be fashionably late!
