Matthew Williamson, an English designer, will launch his capsule collection at Macys on April 13th. Macys has selected four designers to produce capsule collections, the first was Kinder Aggugini, then Williamson, third is Karl Lagerfeld and the fourth has yet to be announced. Williamsons line at Macy’s focuses mainly on the seventies trend this season. As Williamson told WWD: ““The collection aims to capture the essence of the mainline brand, with a focus on effortless glamour; dynamic prints; loosely structured silhouettes, and pops of strong color.” Macys is most excited to bring in such designers to be showcased at their stores. Macy’s main goal is to capture a younger fashion market.
